Meet Recap

After getting the Buhler golf tournament on Friday postponed because of lightning and rain, the Lady Cardinals were looking for a little more sunshine for their home invitational on Monday the 19th. Sunshine and heat is exactly what they got. With the heat index pushing close to 100, Cheney hosted twelve teams in an 18 hole tournament. As the heat kept going higher the Lady Cardinal scores went lower. Cheney shot the second lowest 18 hole score in team history with a 372 for a third place finish. The Lady Cardinals were led by three senior medalists: Amy Akler 92 for 7th, Macy Wallace 92 for 8th, and Kylie Young 94 for 9th. Lauren Reischmann also shot a 94 and missed a medal on the score card playoff. Morgan Ayres also broke 100 as she carded a 98, followed then by Emory Ast and a personal best of 103 and Addy Cokley at 121.
