Meet Recap

The Cheney Cardinal Girls golf team earned a second place finish at the Central Plains League golf tournament held at Cherry Oaks on Monday, October 3rd. In very windy conditions the Lady Cardinals posted a team score of 368. Leading the way was Macy Wallace with a personal best score of 88 (3rd medalist). She was followed closely by Amy Akler with a round of 89 (5th). Also medaling in the 18 hole tournament were Lauren Reischmann (94) 7th and Kylie Young (97) 9th. Completing the team scores were Morgan Ayres (103), Emory Ast (108), and Addy Cokely (118). The varsity squad will compete on Thursday Oct 6th in a rescheduled tournament at Hesston.

Also on Monday was the final tournament for the JV team. This was also a CPL event.
Medaling for Cheney were: Emmy Martin 1st, Natalie Craig 2nd, Mercedes Rich 4th, Harper Hedrick 5th, and Emily Ryba 6th. This was a great ending for the JV golf season.
