Game Recap

Cheney finished off a sweep of Moundridge in the nightcap, 6-5. Cheney was down early in the game due to solid hitting by Moundridge and sloppy defense, but the Cardinals rallied in the 5th inning. After an intentional walk to Corbin Meireis to load the bases, Chayan Fox delivered a bases clearing single to center that skipped under the glove of the diving center fielder. Hunter Adolph started the game for Cheney and was relieved by Micah Grover. Grover picks up the win with 2 1/3 scoreless innings of work. Eichenberger takes the loss for Moundridge. Cheney will be on the road Monday vs Chaparral at Harper.
