Cheney High School hosted the 16th annual CHS Invitational 18-hole golf tournament on Monday, September 18 at Cherry Oaks Golf Course. After an early morning rain the weather was great for golf. The Lady Cards turned in their best team score of the season against some of the best 4A-3A competition in the area. With a score of 396 Cheney earned a third place finish. Shooting a personal best for the second straight tournament was Morgan Ayres who lead Cheney with a 91. Emory Ast turned in a career best 93, as she broke 100 for the first time. Makenzie Cox was next with a 102, followed by Emmy Martin 110, Addy Cokely 111, and Natalie Craig 118.
the Lady Cards will have the rest of the week off before they return back to Cherry Oaks on Monday, September 25 for Andale’s invitational.
