The Cheney girls golf team played on their home course on Monday, September 30 as the competed in the Andale Invitational. This was an eighteen hole tournament with various schools from across the central part of the state. Facing a hot and windy day the girls were looking to improve on the 439 team score they posted exactly one week ago at their own golf tournament. The Lady Cards were able to do just that as they shot a 427 to improve their team total. The next goal is to get more consistent with their personal scores as this will continue to lower the team total. Juniors Jalyn Turner, Halley Jones, and Morgan Sutter led the way for Cheney with scores of 99, 101, and 103. They were followed by sophomores Mollie Brozek 122, Ashlynn Riggs 124, freshmen Kaitlyn Fowler 126, and junior Natalie Burdick 138.
Cheney will compete on Tuesday, October 1 at Pretty Prairie for a nine-hole tournament starting at 3:00 for the final competition before the CPL tournament at Cherry Oaks in Cheney on Tuesday, October 8 which starts at 1:00
