Cheney High School 10th 415

The Cheney Lady Cards Golf Team competed at the first two day KSHSAA State golf tournament held in over 35 years. While the team did not qualify to compete the second day, they did shoot a season second best 415. First Day scores were juniors Halley Jones 94, Jalyn Turner 97, Morgan Sutter 106, Natalie Burdick 127, sophomore Ashlyn Riggs 119, and freshman Kaitlyn Fowler 118. Halley and Jalyn scores enabled them to qualify for the second day as individuals. They played well the second day with Jalyn shooting 93, and Halley 95. Halley’s two day total of 189 earned her the 20th place state medal with Jalyn finishing one stroke behind in 21st place. It was a good showing by all the girls as they represented Cheney High School very well and gained valuable experience.
We would like to say thank you to all the supporters who showed up on Sunday morning to see the team off to state as they talked about that for many miles.
Thank you to administration, faculty, classmates, parents, Cherry Oaks staff and many others who made this season one the girls will remember
