The Cheney Cardinals hosted their 18-hole invitational tournament on Monday, September 17. With an upswing in the heat and the first time walking 18 holes, the girls competed very well. The Lady Cards posted a team score of 412, missing out to Buhler and second place by five strokes. Low individual score was sophomore Audrey Freeman with a 101 which was good enough for 9th medalist. She was followed closely by all other team members:
Seniors Makenzie Cox (102), Natalie Craig (104), and Emory Ast (105), plus sophomores Jalyn Turner (105), and Morgan Sutter (119).
The Lady Cards have the rest of the week off and will start up again next week on Monday, September 24 with the Andale Invitational also held at Cherry Oaks. This will be followed up quickly with a nine hole tournament on Tuesday, September 25th at the Links Golf Course in Pretty Prairie.
