With four of the top ten individual medalists, Cheney’s team score came away with the Pretty Prairie Invitational Championship. The nine-hole event was played at the Links Golf Course in Pretty Prairie on Tuesday afternoon. After playing most of the season in good weather conditions, fall arrived in a cool and very windy way. Golfing for the first time in jackets the Lady Cards played well. Individual runner up was sophomore Jalyn Turner (48), which also was the score for the third place medalist, senior Makenzie Cox. Senior Emory Ast was the fifth place medalist (49) followed by senior teammate and tenth place medalist Natalie Craig (53). Rounding out the scores for Cheney was sophomore Morgan Sutter (58) and freshman Ashlynn Riggs (75).
Cheney will now have a week off before they play in their 18-hole CPL league tournament on Tuesday, October 2 with a 1:00 tee time at Cherry Oaks Golf Course
